Public Notice of the Draft for Comments
In accordance with the Environmental Impact Assessment Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment (Order No. 4 of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment), and other relevant provisions, the draft Environmental Impact Report for this project is hereby made public to solicit opinions and suggestions from all sectors of society on environmental protection measures related to the project’s construction. The relevant information is hereby announced.
I. Project Overview
Project Name: Pilot-Scale Production Project for Sodium Methylate
Construction Site: No. 1 Yuwang Road, Youxian High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province.
Project Scope: This project involves the renovation and expansion of an existing 200 m² facility, with the addition of various production equipment, including a ball mill, mixer, and dryer. A pilot-scale production line for solid sodium methoxide will be established, supported by ancillary facilities for storage, safety, and environmental protection. The pilot‑scale phase is expected to comprise approximately 100 batches over a period of about five months. Solid sodium methoxide is primarily used as a catalyst in the synthesis of chemical products. Following the renovation and expansion, waste gas, wastewater, and solid waste treatment measures will rely on the existing infrastructure.
